Project management for industrial automation projects

Project management from analysis to successful delivery

A successful industrial project requires more than technical expertise alone. Engineering, automation, panel building and installation must be perfectly aligned to avoid delays, additional costs and unnecessary downtime.
Clear planning and structured follow-up therefore form the foundation of efficient project execution.

Prolink Engineering supports industrial automation projects from A to Z. From the initial analysis through to final delivery, we ensure that every project phase is carefully prepared, monitored and aligned with your production process. With one dedicated point of contact, you always maintain a clear overview and can be confident that all disciplines within your project work together seamlessly.

One partner for the entire project

An industrial project consists of several phases that follow one another logically. By managing the entire process within Prolink Engineering, all activities are perfectly aligned and communication remains simple and efficient.

Our project management services include:

Every step is carefully monitored to ensure that your project stays on schedule and that you always have a single point of contact.

From analysis to commissioning

Good project management starts with listening. During the analysis phase, we map out your production process, technical requirements and future expansion possibilities. Based on this, our engineers develop the Electrical Engineering, after which our specialists take care of the Panel Building of the electrical panels.

After the panels have been built, our technicians take care of the complete installation, including cabling, connection and testing. Finally, our software engineers handle the PLC automation and visualisation via HMI or SCADA, and support the commissioning and start-up of the installation.

Because all expertise is available within one organisation, every transition between the different project phases runs efficiently, without unnecessary communication between multiple suppliers.
This shortens the lead time and improves the quality of the final result.

Project management in practice: Callens-Vyncke

For Callens-Vyncke, Prolink Engineering managed a complex automation project for an energy installation in which syngas is converted into steam for electricity generation.
The project started with a thorough analysis of the process requirements, followed by the Electrical Engineering and the development of the electrical control panels. The PLC automation, Siemens PCS 7 software and SCADA visualisation were then integrated.
During the execution phase, extensive FAT and SAT testing was carried out, after which the installation was successfully commissioned.

By managing the entire project within one organisation, Prolink Engineering was able to coordinate the collaboration between all parties involved in the most efficient way.
The result is a reliable, safe and future-proof installation that fully meets the expectations of the end customer.

Frequently asked questions about project management

What exactly does project management involve in an industrial automation project?

Project management means that one partner takes responsibility for the full coordination of an industrial project. Prolink Engineering manages every step, from analysing the technical requirements and Electrical Engineering through to Panel Building, Installation Technology, PLC Automation and final commissioning.
By aligning all disciplines, errors are reduced, communication becomes more efficient and the installation can be delivered faster and with greater reliability.

When different suppliers each handle a separate part of a project, additional coordination is often required and the risk of misunderstandings increases. By keeping engineering, panel building, automation and installation under one roof, communication remains clear and all project phases are perfectly aligned.
This saves time, reduces risks and ensures more efficient project execution.

A Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) is carried out before the installation leaves the workshop and verifies that all systems operate according to the agreed specifications.
The Site Acceptance Test (SAT) is performed after the installation has been assembled and connected on site.
During commissioning, the complete installation is started up step by step, tested and optimised so that it can be brought into production safely and reliably.

Yes. In addition to new projects, Prolink Engineering also supports retrofit and modernisation projects.
We analyse the existing installation and determine which components can be retained and which should be replaced or expanded. This allows companies to modernise their production process without having to reinvest in a completely new installation.

Yes. Even after commissioning, Prolink Engineering remains available for support, optimisation and future expansions. If required, we assist with software modifications, technical improvements, installation extensions or troubleshooting. Thanks to this long-term collaboration, your installation continues to operate reliably and can easily evolve along with the changing needs of your production process.
